From 1 November 2017, the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme was expanded to include telehealth consultations to improve access to mental health services for people in regional, rural and remote Australia.
Telehealth services are available with Bumpanxiety. A telehealth service is a psychological therapy service that is delivered via video conferencing where both a visual and audio link occurs between an individual and the psychologist. Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 individual and 10 group mental health therapy sessions per calendar year (1 January – 31 December). You are required to have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and be located in a rural and remote area, specifically in area 4-7 in the Modified Monash Model. To find out if you are eligible, please visit the MMM locator and enter your location.
If you are preparing for pregnancy, expecting a baby or recently had a baby and require mental health support and live in a rural and remote area please touch base to explore how Bumpanxiety may be able to help.
